I have been sick for the last few days. Because of it, I have been trying to medicate myself so that I can get better as rapidly as possible. I leave next Wednesday for Michael's wedding in Montana and am looking forward to it quite a bit. I like the idea of being able to support a friend by being one of his groomsmen. I've known Mike since about kindergarten so it's nice to be able to be a part of and see him starting the rest of his life. In the meantime, Rebecca made it safely home to Highland, Illinois. She'll be flying out here on May 22nd, only 2 days after I return from Mike's wedding in Montana. This next week will fly by so fast, and she'll be here before I know it!
In the meantime, I am still waiting for my financial update to come from Missouri for the last month's donations and pledges. I know a lot of people have contributed and I'm really excited to see how much people have given to my trip. I have also sent out all except about 8 of my newsletters so that's also exciting. I only have one more to write before I am scheduled to leave for Macedonia.
That's life for now.

This truly is a blog concerning the situations that I encounter in my life. It is my story. I'm currently serving as a sort of missionary intern in Macedonia for 2 years. As I experience God's plan for my life, many exciting, and often odd things will happen. This is the place for me to make sure they are written down and recorded. This is the place for people to see what I'm going through. This is the story of my life...
Go Experience
I hope this blog is useful to the readers wherever they may be in the world. It is a place to share my experiences and keep people informed about where my mind and heart is and even where I am physically. I'll have sermons on here that I've preached, stories that have happened to me, and other random stuff that comes across my path. I really hope that it impacts the readers though. I hope it inspires people to act and be an active part of the body of Christ and not just a Sunday Christian. We are told to go experience (in a roundabout way) in Matthew 28:18-20. It tells us that if we are truly disciples of Christ, he was given all authority and power so that we can go to all the world and disciple others, baptizing them into the body of Christ, and teach them everything Christ has taught and commanded us. I hope this is one tool to motivate others to get up and take action. This is the purpose of the church. You can't just sit there you have to go experience, act on your faith!

I commit myself to following your way Father. Guide me, I pray, that every step I take will be for Your glory, Your purpose, and because you moved me to take it. May I be a vessel to the nations carrying Your love to those who have yet to know You. May I never lose my focus on You and always seek your way. And may this blog be a light and inspiration. Use it to draw people to you and to inspire them to take part in your mission in the world to build your church.
